| Notes from Brad - 10.29.2002 |
Due to circumstances beyond our control, this never made the light of day, so I am reposting my 10.29.2002 Notes from Brad. :) Notes
from the President, October edition I hope all is well with everyone. The year is slowly rounding out and all eyes point to New Orleans, LA, home of the National Convention this year. Many of us will be boarding planes, trains, and automobiles(and for me, I have no idea how i'm getting there) but there we will be to have some fun on Bourbon Street! It seems like the national convention committee has set up one hell of a conference and it looks like it's going to be a blast. The Lambda Omicron Alumni Association plans on being there full blast and will be sponsoring many events. What are they? I have no idea yet but i'm definitely going to come up with some fun things. The one thing i'd really like to do is take care of the LO voting delegates. Being a former one myself, I really appreciated when we were taken care of. The one thing I do ask is, I know we are in a huge party city but please at least take in one or two of the workshops or events. I guarantee one or two are going to be alot of fun so check out what the crew has to offer. :) Check out their website @ http://www.convention.apo.org/index.shtml. The one thing you may have noticed is our website really needs some work. I am fixing that as I type and hopefully next week that situation will be taken care of. Check out the new apoloaa.org the beginning of the month. I still would like to have a cyber meeting but i've not heard from anyone yet as to a good time for one. Eme and I will set the time and place. Once upon a time, a former active told me that the President's job was to find a place to have beer and meet while we are all in Morgantown. I can't really argue with that so it's exactly what i'm doing. The Saturday of Banquet, i'm planning a little shindig. Where is yet to be determined. My thoughts of a cookout were dashed when I was informed it was going to be mid November. Having trouble arguing with that kind of logic has me searching for a new site. Odds are it will be Pizza and whatnot in the Lair. I am going to try my best to make it but if not, it will still happen. Stay tuned to apoloaa.org for more details. If you guys ever need me, or just want to say hi, my email is loaapres@apoloaa.org or my NEW AOL screen name is achildfromthe80s. Well that is it for me. Hope everyone has a fun Halloween and I will see you all soon! In Leadership,
